Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Data Centre Projects (Ireland / EMEA)
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of data centre projects across the EMEA region.
This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of electrical design from concept through to client handover, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and global clients on large-scale, mission-critical developments.

Key Projects
You’ll play a key role in delivering a range of high-performance, large-scale data centre projects, including:
- 50MW Hyperscale Data Centre – Dublin: Full electrical design delivery for a next-generation hyperscale facility including MV/LV distribution, standby generation, and critical power systems.
- Enterprise Data Centre Campus – Frankfurt: Multi-building expansion project incorporating modular electrical infrastructure and advanced monitoring systems.
- Retrofit & Energy Optimisation – Amsterdam: Upgrade of an existing Tier III data centre to improve efficiency and resilience through innovative power management and sustainability measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical services design and coordination from concept to completion.
- Manage project delivery, client communication, and design quality across multiple projects.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, ensuring technical excellence and consistency.
- Oversee tender documentation, design reports, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with mechanical, BMS, security, and CSA disciplines to ensure fully integrated design solutions.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant standards (CIBSE, BS, IS, EN).
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience in electrical design for building services (data centres preferred).
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, lighting, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Confident communicator with proven client-facing experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Bluebeam and design analysis tools is an advantage.
