A Quantity Surveyor is required to join Ireland’s leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company. This company offers industry leading services in civil engineering, transport infrastructure, structure steel & pipe fabrication, water and wastewater, power, natural resources and Construction & Property.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be working with the Natural Resources team on gas projects in Dublin.
Role:
- To provide assistance to the Senior & Managing QS, and support on all commercial issues within the projects
- Encourage and develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team.
- Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance
- Development, motivation & performance management of junior staff
- Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.
- Preparation of Valuations/Application for payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract
- Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation
- Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
- Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change
- Challenge & manage in cost control / cost mitigation
- Implement a WBS structure to satisfy the Client & Contract requirements.
- Assist with preparation of the Cost to Complete and Risk analysis Register for the projects(s).
- Helping to maximise the cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production & improvement plans.
Requirements:
- Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
- On route to being Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MSCI) or equivalent
- Full Driving Licence
- All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards
- Commercially astute and excellend knowledge of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement
- Civil Engineering Works
- Gas Pipelines and AGI Installations (desirable)
- Solar Farm Installations (desirable)
- Estimating and takeoffs (desirable)
Salary:
- Salary circa €65k – €75k DOE
- 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays with the option to buy an additional 2 days holiday each year, holidays increase with length of service
