A well-established and respected civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Civils Foreman for a large-scale residential project based in South Dublin. This is a long-term opportunity, with the project just beginning and further works planned in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential groundworks and infrastructure, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record delivering civils packages to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site civil works, including groundworks, utilities, roads, and drainage.
- Manage direct labour and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Monitor site progress, report daily activities, and attend site meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental standards.
- Interpret construction drawings and ensure works are carried out to plans.
- Liaise with engineers, site management, and project stakeholders.
- Maintain quality control and oversee inspections and testing as required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Civils Foreman on residential or civil engineering projects in Ireland.
- Strong knowledge of groundworks, road construction, and underground services.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Full clean driving licence.
