Building Services Engineer

Building Services Engineer required for a Tier 1 Main Building Contractor to work on major residential and data centre projects in the Dublin area. This role would suit a Building Services Engineer with 3+ years’ experience looking to take the next step in their career with one of Ireland’s most respected contractors.  We are ideally looking for someone with experience working on large-scale building projects, preferably with a contractor or consultancy background.

Role:
• Coordinate Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services installation on-site from pre-construction to commissioning
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth service integration
• Review drawings and technical submittals to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards
• Support the project team with resolving design or installation issues
• Assist in commissioning and system handover
• Attend regular site meetings and report on progress
• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives where possible

Requirements:
• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience – ideally with exposure to large-scale residential or data centre projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, standards, and installation methods
• Experience working with main contractors or consultancies preferred
• Knowledge of BCAR, TGD, and relevant Irish building regulations
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office – knowledge of BIM/Revit a plus

Salary:
• €65k–€75k
