Site Manager – Groundworks
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager highly reputable Main Building Contractor to manage the civils and groundworks package on a large building project in Portlaoise. The successful Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of groundworks and deep drainage, site development works, utilities, ensuring the smooth execution of the project.
Duties:
- Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Site Operations Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with company HSQE requirements and standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of work packages to verify the availability of necessary information and permits for safe and efficient execution of the works.
- Oversee daily management, supervision, and reporting of direct labour resources, plant, and material allocations.
- Perform post-construction surveys and compile accurate information to prepare As-Built records. Proactively engage with clients, consultants, the public, and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication and coordination.
Required:
- A relevant third level qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline is desirable but not essential – strong groundworks background is essential
- Supervisory experience of large civils projects / strong groundworks experience
- Location of Underground Services training.
- Signing, Lighting and Guarding training.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, within a fast-paced team environment.
- Full Driving Licence
