My client, a leading construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager with 5+ years experience, to join their team on a large-scale, high-rise residential development in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to take ownership of site operations, lead project teams and deliver a complex construction project with a well-established contractor.
Duties
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project programmes.
- Develop and manage construction schedules, allocate resources and coordinate subcontractors across multiple trades.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and implement solutions to maintain programme deadlines.
- Take ownership of health and safety on site, conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Ensure all construction activities meet the required quality standards, design specifications and building regulations.
- Manage procurement and the efficient use of labour, materials, plant and equipment.
- Monitor project costs, manage variations and ensure works are delivered within budget.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, design teams and subcontractors to ensure effective project delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies and site challenges.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, safety documentation and quality assurance records.
- Oversee inspections, snagging and quality control throughout the construction process.
- Ensure compliance with BCAR requirements, environmental standards and waste management procedures.
- Lead, supervise and motivate site personnel, providing guidance, training and development where required.
- Prepare and present progress reports to the Project Manager and senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Site Manager role within the construction industry.
- Relevant third-level construction qualification or trade background.
- Previous experience managing large-scale residential or high-rise construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage construction projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, health and safety legislation and BCAR compliance.
- Experience managing subcontractors, direct labour and multiple trades on site.
- Strong understanding of project programming, quality assurance, cost control and resource management.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve site issues and deliver projects to demanding deadlines.
- Experience coordinating design teams, clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.
