Site Manager – Residential Projects – Cork City
A Site Manager is required for a well-established Main Building Contractor to work on a 500+ unit residential project in Douglas, Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager to join a reputable company and take a key role in overseeing the delivery of large-scale housing developments. The successful candidate will have strong experience working with main contractors in Ireland or the UK and be confident in managing all aspects of the site.
Duties:
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor quality control and compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and company standards.
- Assist with planning and scheduling construction activities, including resource allocation and site logistics.
- Maintain detailed site records and produce progress reports for senior management and clients.
- Ensure health & safety standards are implemented and adhered to at all times.
- Lead site meetings and liaise with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior site staff and engineers.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Engineer on residential or building projects in Ireland or the UK.
- Proven experience managing large housing developments or multi-unit projects.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and site management software.
- Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland.
- Full driving licence.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: €75,000 – €85,000 (depending on experience)
- Excellent benefits package
