Site Engineer required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on a large-scale data centre project in Belgium. Our client is specifically looking for a Site Engineer currently working with a main contractor, ideally with data centre construction experience, who is comfortable working away from home on an international assignment supporting site delivery on a large-scale, technically demanding build. Candidates from across the EU with a track record on complex, fast-track construction programmes are encouraged to apply. The successful Site Engineer will report to the Senior Engineer on site.

Role:

• Carry out setting out, surveying and quality control across a large-scale, technically demanding data centre build.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to the site team, resolving technical queries as they arise.
• Check works against drawings and specification, flagging discrepancies before they impact progress.
• Support sequencing of works on a fast-track construction programme.
• Liaise with subcontractors, the design team and site management to keep technical information flowing smoothly.
• Provide CDM and Health and Safety input on day-to-day site activities.

Requirements:

• Currently a Site Engineer with a main contractor
• Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial builds
• EU citizenship or existing right to work in the EU
• Open to relocating/working away in Belgium for the duration of the project
• Strong setting out, quality control, and site technical support experience

Desirable:

• Data centre construction experience specifically
• Experience working on international or overseas projects previously
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Salary & Benefits

• Salary €65,000 – €75,000
