Site Engineer
Our client needs an experienced Site Engineer for a large residential development in Navan: houses, duplexes and apartments, plus the roads and services. Big scheme, long-term work. You’ll handle the engineering on site — setting out, levels, quality checks — and back up the Site Manager on the day-to-day.
Duties:
- Setting out for foundations, rising walls, drainage, kerbs, columns, beams and walls
- Setting levels and overseeing groundworks, block layers, steel-fixers, shuttering carpenters and pours
- Surveying the works and keeping subcontractor records
- Materials management with the Site Manager and Purchasing — right specs, on time, minimal waste
- Irish Water liaison, QA folder and as-builts
- Supervising operatives, direct and subcontract
- Quality control and building control
- H&S — inductions, audits, PPE
- General admin and document control
Requirements:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction
- Site Engineer experience on residential jobs, ideally in Ireland
- Strong setting out and surveying — groundworks, drainage, structures
- Knows how houses, duplexes and apartments go up
- Organised, good on records
- Can deal with the site team, subbies and Irish Water
- Solid on H&S and quality
Package:
- Salary: €65k-€75k
