SHESQ Advisors are required to join Ireland’s leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company. This company offers industry leading services in civil engineering, transport infrastructure, structure steel & pipe fabrication, water and wastewater, power, natural resources and ground engineering. They also have a major projects and a property division. Three roles available working on project in the Leinster area.
Role:
- Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System and Quality Management Systems and to ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001.
- Carrying out inductions
- Producing monthly statistics
- Carry out and document site audits and inspections
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance.
- Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records
- Investigating, logging and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances
- Completing all necessary report forms
- Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set-up of appropriate controls
- Ensure all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available
- Prepare and present toolbox talks as and when required
- Prepare and present at monthly safety meetings
- Review subcontractor documentation
Requirements:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in health, safety, environmental and quality
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on civil engineering/construction sites
- Experience working on heavy civil engineering projects (deep excavations, lifting, confined space etc)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams,
- Good written and spoken communication abilities,
- Good IT skills with a high attention to detail,
- A flexible and proactive approach,
- Demonstrate leadership skills
Salary
- Salary circa €50k – €60k neg DOE
- 27 days holiday plus bank holidays
