Structural Engineer
Location: County Cork
Senior Structural Engineer with 7+ years’ experience required to join an established engineering consultancy in Cork. The successful Senior Structural Engineer will lead structural design working across commercial, residential, educational and industrial developments. Responsibilities will include designing steel, reinforced concrete, precast concrete and timber structure alongside coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must have previous experience working on structural engineering projects in Ireland.
Sample Projects:
- Commercial Development – Structural design of multi-story office buildings, including steel and reinforced concrete frames and floor slabs – €50M.
- Residential Development – Structural design of apartment blocks and housing schemes – €25M.
- Industrial Development – Design of structural steel frames and foundations for industrial facilities – €40M.
Requirements:
- Senior Structural Engineer with 7+ years’ experience in an engineering consultancy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or in a related field.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership with Engineers Ireland.
- Knowledge of structural analysis and design software, such as Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.
- Previous experience delivering structural engineering projects within the Irish construction sector is essential.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians.
