Senior Site Manager required to join a leading Main Contractor. This role is based on a high-profile development comprising:

  • The renovation and extension of a protected structure into modern apartments
  • The construction of a new apartment block to the rear

This is a technically complex project requiring careful coordination, attention to detail, and strong site leadership.

The Senior Site Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the successful delivery of the project on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Role:

  • Lead and manage all on-site activities across both refurbishment and new build elements
  • Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow
  • Ensure strict adherence to project timelines and milestones
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Oversee quality control and ensure all works meet required specifications
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, design teams, and stakeholders
  • Manage site documentation, reporting, and progress tracking
  • Resolve technical and operational issues promptly and effectively
  • Ensure careful handling and preservation of the protected structure
  • Drive a strong site culture focused on safety, quality, and performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or experienced Site Manager on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects
  • Strong background in both refurbishment (especially protected/heritage structures) and new build construction
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and health & safety standards
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects simultaneously
  • Relevant construction qualification (Degree / Diploma in Construction Management or similar)
  • SMSTS / Safe Pass / First Aid (or Irish equivalents)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
