Senior Quantity Surveyor – Netherlands

Project: Large-Scale Data Centre 
Working Pattern: Rotational

My client, a Tier 2 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their project teams working on large-scale projects in the Netherlands.

Duties

  • Manage commercial delivery across projects.
  • Manage commercial teams and support successful project delivery.
  • Review tender documentation and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Manage budgets, cost control and commercial reporting.
  • Monitor actual costs against budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and manage subcontracts in line with agreed scope.
  • Manage contractual correspondence, EOTs, claims and variations.
  • Provide contractual and commercial advice to project teams and clients.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure projects remain on budget.
  • Prepare commercial reports and present project progress.
  • Build and maintain strong client and consultant relationships.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve commercial issues.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • 5+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience.
  • Strong experience working on major construction projects.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Experience with contracts such as RIAI, FIDIC and JCT.
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and commercial teams.
  • Strong client and consultant relationship management skills.
  • Data Centre / Critical Environment experience is highly desirable.

  • €90,000 – €100,000 basic salary DOE
