Senior Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a Premium Residential Developer to work on a large-scale residential development in West Dublin. The successful Senior QS will be responsible for the full commercial management of a major new-build residential scheme. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years’ experience in a QS role with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK, with a strong preference for local market experience and residential or large-scale mixed-use project background.
Duties:
- Full commercial management of the project from pre-contract through to final account
- Preparation and management of the project budget, cost plans and cash flow forecasts
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including preparation of enquiry documents and evaluation of tenders
- Preparation and agreement of subcontractor packages, interim valuations and final accounts
- Preparation and submission of monthly employer valuations and cost reports
- Management of the change control process including assessment and agreement of variations
- Attend client, design team and internal commercial meetings
- Mentoring and managing junior commercial staff on site
- Liaise with the Project Manager and site team to ensure commercial awareness across the project
Requirements:
- Construction related degree (Quantity Surveying or similar)
- 8+ years’ experience as a QS with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK
- Residential or large-scale mixed-use project experience strongly preferred
- Must have experience working in Ireland
Benefits:
- Salary circa €90,000 to €110,000 – DOE
