Senior Quantity Surveyor
A leading contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong commercial background and proven ability to successfully manage project costs on large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting to ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Prepare, manage, and review subcontractor packages, procurement, and contract administration.
- Lead monthly valuations, variations, payment applications, ensuring timely cash flow management.
- Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement effective cost control measures.
- Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management.
- Mentor and support junior commercial staff where required.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, design consultants, and site management to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with experience operating at Senior QS level.
- Strong experience working on large-scale construction projects in Ireland.
- Experience in controlled environments, data centres, pharmaceutical, or commercial projects.
- Excellent knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
Package:
- €80k-€90k (depending on experience)
