Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (hybrid) is needed to join a well-established and progressive engineering mechanical and electrical consultancy in their Dublin office. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (hybrid) to lead a team of passionate and experienced engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and deliver comprehensive Mechanical Design for projects of all sizes, ensuring exceptional client care.
- Ensure quality control for Mechanical Engineering projects across all offices.
- Manage project budgets and cost control effectively.
- Lead project teams and cross-functional teams within the organization.
- Represent EDC at client meetings, site visits, surveys, and training as required.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other EDC offices on relevant matters.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in delivering detailed designs throughout the full design cycle.
- Expertise in Mechanical design areas: Water Services, HVAC, Heating/LTHW, Fuel, drainage, and BMS.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish building regulations, particularly TGD Part B, F, G, and L, with proven application in design leadership.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining efficient work plans.
- Strong leadership in internal/external project management, ensuring client satisfaction, profitability, and upholding EDC’s reputation for repeat business.
- Comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary building design and installation, with excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and commercial awareness.
