Senior Engineer – Norway
Project: Large-Scale Data Centre
Working Pattern: Rotational
My client, a Tier 2 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their project team on a large-scale Data Centre project in Norway.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in setting out, surveying, QA/QC and technical project delivery.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day technical and engineering requirements on site.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and design coordination.
- Carry out setting out, surveying and levelling.
- Implement and maintain site quality control procedures.
- Manage inspection and test plans and quality documentation.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Support the Project Manager / Contracts Manager with project delivery.
- Monitor works against programme, drawings and specifications.
- Identify information gaps and develop solutions with the project and design teams.
- Coordinate temporary works where required.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and site teams.
- Ensure works are completed safely, to programme and to a high standard.
Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong setting out, surveying and levelling experience.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and quality documentation.
- Experience with Inspection & Test Plans and defect prevention.
- Knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
- Experience coordinating temporary works.
- Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
- Good computer skills and experience with MS Project or similar.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
Package
- €80,000 – €90,000 basic salary DOE
- Circa €8,500 NET Living Away Allowance
