Senior Engineer (Hybrid)

Senior Engineer with 7+ years’ experience required to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor in a hybrid Bid & Preconstruction role. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Engineer seeking to transition off-site into a preconstruction environment, working across a diverse range of project types at tender and early-stage development. The successful candidate will bring strong technical and commercial awareness and will play a key role in developing high-quality bid submissions and supporting the wider preconstruction team.

Role:

• Contribute to the preparation and coordination of tender submissions.
• Carry out technical reviews of drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements.
• Support the development of construction methodologies and programme inputs.
• Liaise with estimating, design, and commercial teams throughout the bid process.
• Attend pre-tender site visits and client meetings as required.
• Identify and mitigate risks at tender stage.

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree or Diploma.
• 7+ years’ experience with a Main Contractor.
• Strong technical knowledge across building projects.
• Commercially aware with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
• Full driving licence.
