Senior Civil Technician
Location: Waterford
Senior Civil Technician with 7+ years’ experience required to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy in their Waterford office. The successful Senior Civil Technician will work on projects across the residential, commercial, industrial and civil infrastructure sectors, contributing to the preparation and delivery of detailed engineering designs and technical drawings. The role will involve working closely with engineers and project teams on projects involving roads, drainage, bridges and wider infrastructure developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Technician to support junior team members and play an important role in the delivery of projects within a well-established consultancy.
Sample Projects:
- Residential and mixed-use developments – housing schemes, apartment complexes and large-scale residential developments, including site layouts, road design and surface water drainage – €20m-€40m.
- Civil infrastructure and road developments – new road layouts, access arrangements, corridor modelling, earthworks, grading and cross section design – €10m-€20m
- Water and drainage infrastructure – foul and stormwater drainage networks, water services, underground utilities and drainage layouts associated with commercial, residential and industrial developments – €15m-€25m
- Bridge projects – preparation of detailed design and tender drawings, structural layouts and associated civil infrastructure drawings for bridge developments – €5m-€10m.
Requirements:
- Senior Civil Technician should have 7+ years’ experience within a civil engineering consultancy.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or in a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, TEKKLA, Autodesk or related software’s.
- Experience with grading, earthworks, modelling, alignments and cross sections.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians.
