A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing Water team across Dublin, Galway, Cork or Castlebar.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer looking to take a leading role in the delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support communities, protect the environment and improve climate resilience across Ireland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of major water infrastructure projects while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team of engineers, environmental specialists and project professionals. This role offers strong technical ownership, leadership opportunities and a clear pathway for career progression within a rapidly growing sector.
Projects:
- Water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland (€5M – €250M+)
- Water network rehabilitation and upgrade programmes (€10M – €150M+)
- Pumping stations, reservoirs and strategic utility infrastructure
- Climate resilience and environmental improvement projects
- Uisce Éireann capital delivery frameworks
- Multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction
Role:
- Leading the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Producing and reviewing technical designs, drawings, calculations and specifications
- Preparing reports, contract documentation and technical submissions
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Supporting design reviews and quality assurance processes
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Significant post-graduate experience in water network design and infrastructure delivery
- Strong technical capability with experience leading design development and technical reviews
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Proven ability to manage project deliverables and technical workstreams
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership, is advantageous
- Must be based in Ireland with full working rights
