Mechanical Engineering Lead
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of complex projects across Europe. This role is with an Irish Tier 1 M&E Contractor. You’ll drive engineering, design management, commissioning, quality, and safety standards while developing high-performing engineering teams and supporting project delivery from tender through to handover.

What You’ll Do
- Lead engineering and commissioning activities across the region.
- Ensure consistent application of design, project engineering, quality, and EHS processes.
- Provide technical oversight, resolve complex engineering challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee technical submittals, procurement, design coordination, and commissioning readiness.
- Manage engineering risk, programme milestones, and project performance.
- Support tender reviews, value engineering, and client engagement activities.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineers to build capability and future leadership talent.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree-qualified Mechanical or Building Services Engineer.
- Proven experience leading engineering delivery on large-scale mechanical projects.
- Strong knowledge of design management, commissioning, procurement, and project engineering.
- Commercially aware with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Passion for developing people, driving innovation, and delivering engineering excellence.
