Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Projects
A Quantity Surveyor is required for a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Dunleer, Co. Louth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to join a growing company working across a range of infrastructure projects throughout North Dublin, Meath, and Louth.
The successful candidate will be involved in a mix of both office-based and site-based work (approximately 50/50 split), supporting the commercial management and delivery of civil engineering projects from pre-contract through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of cost control across civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions
- Conduct site measurements and valuations of completed works
- Manage subcontractor packages including procurement, payments, and variations
- Liaise closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts throughout project lifecycle
- Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and cost reports
- Attend regular site visits across North Dublin, Meath, and Louth
- Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Requirement:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (Level 8 minimum)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within civil engineering or construction
- Strong understanding of construction costs, contracts, and commercial processes
- Experience working on infrastructure or civil engineering projects is desirable
- Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant QS / commercial software
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary circa €65,000 – €75,000 (depending on experience)
- 50/50 split between office-based work (Dunleer, Co. Louth) and site visits
