Quantity Surveyor (M&E)

Quantity Surveyor (M&E) required for one of Irelands largest Mechanical & Electrical contractors for a Hyperscale Data Centre project in Europe (Belgium/The Netherlands). You will manage and oversee the financial and contractual aspects of the project, reporting to the projects Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate tender with Project Manager/Director post-award
  • Assist in preparing project CCS and cash flow forecasts
  • Compile monthly reports per company standards
  • Conduct site measures and ensure timely submission of claims
  • Address contract costs, sales, and contribution concerns
  • Attend commercial and subcontractor meetings
  • Draft pre- and post-contract correspondence with PM/Director
  • Manage client invoicing and payments to subcontractors
  • Liaise with the Financial Department on reporting
  • Resolve disputes with clients and subcontractors
  • Monitor site procurement and reporting

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3 years’ + experience in construction Quantity Surveying
  • Working toward chartership or professional certification (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical Systems or Electrical Systems
  • Data Centre experience is an advantage, but not essential
