Quantity Surveyor – Civil & Utilities Projects

A leading and well-established civil engineering contractor is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor (4–5 years’ experience) to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will involve working across civil infrastructure and utilities projects throughout Dublin, Wicklow, and Kildare. Candidates with a background in civil engineering are preferred, however strong M&E Quantity Surveyors will also be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to develop their career within a growing contractor, working closely with senior commercial staff and gaining exposure to a wide range of infrastructure projects. The role offers flexibility, hybrid working, and the opportunity to be based on sites closest to your location.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the commercial management and cost control of civil and utilities projects across Dublin, Wicklow, and Kildare
• Prepare and review interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Support monitoring of project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance
• Assist in procurement of subcontractors and preparation of subcontract agreements
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and support valuation work
• Liaise with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth commercial delivery
• Identify and assist in managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Ensure all commercial activities comply with company procedures and industry standards
• Support senior commercial staff with reporting and contract administration duties
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation

Requirements:
• 4–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or engineering projects
• Civil engineering experience preferred, however strong M&E backgrounds will also be considered
• Good understanding of cost management and contract administration
• Experience working with project teams on live construction sites
• Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Full driving licence required

Salary and Benefits:
• Salary circa €75k–€80k depending on experience
