An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Contractor delivering large-scale building and projects in North Dublin. This role offers strong long-term progression within a well-established commercial team.
Responsibilities
- Subcontract procurement and account management
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts and monthly project cost/value reports
- Budget control and commercial tracking of project performance
- Measurement and remeasurement of trade packages, identifying quantity discrepancies
- Preparation of tender enquiry packages in coordination with site and project teams
- Procurement of subcontractors in line with programme requirements
- Tender analysis and evaluation of returned submissions (ensuring compliance and accuracy)
- Value engineering and assessment of alternative materials and methods
- Liaison with design teams and project management on cost and variation matters
- Management of subcontract orders, variations, and change control processes
- Preparation and valuation of interim and final account payments
- Subcontractor vetting, compliance checks, and reference verification
- Ensuring all contractual and compliance documentation is in place prior to appointment
Requirements
- Third-level degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Experience on projects valued at €10m+
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and deadlines
