A leading international main contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Dublin-based project team. The business operates across Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe, delivering complex projects in critical environments including data centres, life sciences, aviation, high-value manufacturing, and logistics.
The successful candidate will manage all commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring cost control, value maximisation, and effective contract administration.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day commercial and contract administration activities
- Handle change management and maintain variation registers
- Procure and negotiate subcontract packages to achieve best value
- Support project budgets, cost plans, and commercial reporting
- Assess and certify subcontractor payments and final accounts
- Prepare monthly Cost Value Reports (CVRs) and cost forecasting
- Maximise cash flow through accurate valuations and submissions
- Prepare and agree final accounts, including contractual claims
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with contract forms such as NEC, JCT/RIAI, and FIDIC
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or equivalent (RICS/SCSI recognised)
- 3–5 years’ QS experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT/RIAI, and FIDIC contracts
- Experience in CVRs, subcontract management, and cost control
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
