Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland’s top Build and Civil contractors are hiring a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of infrastructure and civil works projects from inception to completion in Cork. The role requires strong technical, contractual, and commercial awareness, with a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget—typically across roads, utilities, or public realm works.
Duties:
- Manage project delivery in accordance with programme, budget, and quality requirements
- Oversee site operations, subcontractors, and engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and statutory regulations
- Coordinate with clients, design teams, and stakeholders
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation measures
- Prepare and review programmes, method statements, and project reports
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in civil engineering/infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, specifications, and standards
- Experience managing projects from planning through to handover
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Full driving licence.
Salary:
- Salary circa €85k – €95k DOE
