Principal Civil Engineer

Principal Civil Engineer with 6+ years’ experience needed to join a highly respected, award-winning international multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices in Dublin, Galway and Cork. This role will involve managing a small team and delivering large scale projects and comes with excellent career progression opportunities. The successful Principal Civil Engineer will report to the Associate Director.
Projects:
- DART+ West & South West – €969 million to €1.1 billion
- Various private developers – Residential – €300M+
- Dept of Education – Various schools
- M28 Cork to Ringaskiddy Motorway Project – €456 million
- Water-Rock Urban Expansion Area (East Cork, Midleton) – €11.7 million
- National Forensic Mental Health Service Hospital (Portrane, Co. Dublin) – €200 million
- N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Project – €450 million
Duties:
- The successful candidate will work in a civil team within a multidiscipline office and shall work on varied projects such as residential, industrial, commercial and logistics projects
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers and in-house resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Managing a small team of engineers.
- Project scheduling and resource planning aligned to meet customer requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records of all process steps.
- Liaising with clients, and other stakeholders and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the project requirements.
Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- The successful Civil Engineer should have 6+ years post graduate Civil Engineering experience within an engineering consultancy.
- The successful Principal Civil Engineer will be experienced in communicating effectively and have the ability to prioritise and manage work load effectively.
- Experience in software such as Civil 3D, Microdrainage, SUDs
- The successful Principal Civil Engineer must be chartered with Engineers Ireland.
