MEP & Sustainability Manager
A leading Irish Main Contractor is seeking an experienced MEP & Sustainability Manager to join their growing team in Dublin, working across a range of commercial, industrial, and educational projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of all MEP services across assigned projects.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of sustainability standards including LEED, BREEAM, and NZEB requirements.
- Support and guide BREEAM assessments, working closely with assessors to achieve target ratings.
- Manage consultant and subcontractor design input on Design & Build projects.
- Lead MEP value engineering initiatives and drive technical and commercial improvements.
- Oversee utility services coordination from application through to installation and connection.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Contracts Managers to support overall project delivery.
- Review MEP costs, valuations, variations, and commercial implications of project changes.
- Manage quality assurance processes including RFIs, technical submissions, and approvals.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, certification, and BCAR handover of all MEP systems.
- Ensure completion of O&M manuals, as-built documentation, and handover requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards across all MEP activities.
- Carry out additional duties as required by the business.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in an MEP / Building Services role within construction. - Strong experience on commercial projects (e.g. offices, hotels, schools, pharma, industrial).
- Experience in Design & Build project environments.
- Strong knowledge of building services systems, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, design teams, and technical coordination.
- Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Full driving licence required.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certs required.
