My client is a leader in the built environment sector, specializing in energy efficiency and sustainability projects across public and private sectors. They manage Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and optimize facilities to enhance building performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in both Facilities Management and Energy Management.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a passion for energy efficiency and sustainability. This is a mobile role covering the Greater Dublin Area with occasional travel beyond. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will oversee technical services, conduct maintenance, and manage subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PPM tasks and routine system checks (HVAC, Electrical, BMS).
- Conduct electrical repairs and installations, including fan, motor, and pump upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and service HVACR systems, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.
- Plan and execute reactive maintenance efficiently.
- Document maintenance activities and oversee contractor work.
- Source and order materials, providing site surveys and reports.
Requirements
- Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or BMS.
- Full Irish driver’s licence (25+ years old).
- Flexible for occasional evening/weekend work.
Desirable
- Experience with PPMs on HVAC plant and fault-finding.
- F-GAS certificate and relevant vocational qualifications.
- Familiarity with major HVAC brands (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Hitachi).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
