Intermediate Quantity Surveyor (Fit-out):

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with 4 + years ‘experience required for one of the top Main Building Contractors in Ireland to work in our client’s fit-out division.  Our client has a great reputation and has made strong inroads into the fit-out market in the past 2 years.  The commercial team is well structured and well-resourced so the successful intermediate level QS will have plenty of support in the role and possibility to progress to senior level.  Previous projects include – hotels, large scale resi, large scale commercial and works for the HSE.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified with at least 4 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK with at least some years in fit-out.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be commercially and contractually aware.
• Ambitious and committed to deliver an excellent standard of work.
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland.

Role:

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
• Liaising with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement
• Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues
