An experienced Health & Safety Advisor is required to join one of Ireland’s leading Civil Engineering Contractors working on civil engineering and infrastructure projects in the Leinster region. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who enjoys being hands-on and site-based, working closely with project teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Role:
- Work closely with Contracts Managers and Site Teams to promote a positive, proactive safety culture.
- Ensure Health & Safety Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other required documentation are in place and maintained.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and safety meetings, identifying risks and driving improvements.
- Monitor compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and project requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Proactively identify safety requirements based on upcoming works and project programmes.
Requirements:
- A minimum Diploma qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role within civil engineering or construction.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction safety requirements.
- Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Salary
- Salary circa €55k – €65k
