Electrical Tendering Engineer
Due to continued growth, one of my clients are recruiting for an Electrical Tendering Engineer to join the team and manage HV/MV substation project tendering works associated with a number of transmission and distribution projects. This client is a utility infrastructure consultancy and construction company, operating extensively within the utilities sector in Ireland, the UK and internationally. This is a full-time position based out of the Dublin office with Hybrid working. There is also offices Nationwide in Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Kilkenny or Waterford if Dublin is too far.
Role:
- Act as Tendering Electrical Engineer, reviewing project requirements, specifications, drawings, and calculations.
- Take ownership of all electrical engineering elements within tender submissions.
- Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks.
- Collaborate with tendering, operations, engineering, and commercial teams to produce accurate, compliant tenders.
- Coordinate interfaces between electrical, civil, cable, and OHL engineering during the tender process.
- Liaise with vendors, consultants, and third parties; review quotations for compliance and competitiveness.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to improve cost, quality, and timescales.
- Provide input into tender programmes and budgets; attend tender and post-tender meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Support project handovers and stay informed on innovative technologies and design improvements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (NFQ Level 8)
- 3+ years’ relevant experience (preferred)
- Strong technical skills; AutoCAD, EPLAN knowledge a plus (training provided)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and report-writing skills
- Flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks
- Full driver’s license required
Salary
- Salary €65k – €75k DOE
