Electrical Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of projects from tender through to final account. This role is with a Tier 1 M&E contractor and is based in Dublin. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and clients, you’ll play a key role in protecting margins, managing commercial risk and ensuring projects remain financially controlled.

Responsibilities
- Manage BOQs, project budgets, cost reports and profit plans
- Take ownership of the commercial position throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead interim commercial meetings with clients and internal teams
- Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, payments, retentions and final accounts
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly applications, including remeasures, dayworks and variations
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement appropriate actions
- Work closely with Planning Engineers to align progress and commercial reporting
- Cost and agree variations, dayworks and subcontractor remeasurements
- Maintain accurate commercial records and supporting documentation
Requirements
- Experience working as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor, ideally within an M&E contracting environment
- Strong understanding of commercial and contractual processes
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, variations, remeasurement, claims and cost control
- Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
