My client is a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative, low-energy, and high-performance building projects across Ireland and the UK.
We’re now looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing Building Services team and contribute to a range of exciting developments in commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and transport sectors.
Responsabilities
- Lead and contribute to the design of electrical building services systems including lighting, power, fire alarms, security, and renewable technologies.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, sustainability, and digital engineering teams to deliver low-carbon, energy-efficient solutions.
- Produce detailed designs, calculations, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and other modern design tools.
- Participate in client and design meetings, technical reviews, and site inspections — taking ownership of your work from concept to completion.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies such as smart buildings, EV charging infrastructure, and energy management systems, bringing fresh thinking to every project.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- 2+ years’ experience within a consultancy environment, ideally in Ireland or the UK.
- Strong technical knowledge of building electrical systems and current design standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Amtech, or Dialux is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with confidence engaging clients and multidisciplinary teams.
