CSA Estimator
A CSA Estimator is required to join Ireland’s leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company. This role can be based out of the Cork, Waterford or Dublin office.
Role:
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and activity schedules using estimating software (e.g., CCS Candy).
- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Develop and issue subcontractor/supplier enquiry packages, evaluate quotations, and negotiate alignment with project requirements.
- Identify and manage tender deliverables, providing input into project risk registers and commercial documentation.
- Contribute to value engineering by developing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, designers, and clients through meetings, site visits, and tender reviews.
- Support project handovers by preparing robust commercial documents and ensuring alignment with execution teams.
- Assist in developing standard estimating procedures and mentoring junior team members.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering/Construction Management or Similar
- Full Drivers Licence
- 7 years’ estimating experience on projects up to £25m
- Be able to complete civil take offs from first principles
- IT skills with Estimating Software
- A good understanding of the various forms of contract
