Contracts Manager
A well-established and highly regarded Irish main contractor with a strong pipeline of large-scale construction projects is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team. This role is focused on a significant HSE facility extension project of €20m+ commencing in 2026. Known for delivering complex, high-value builds across healthcare, commercial, and public sector environments, this organisation offers excellent long-term career progression, a collaborative working culture, and the opportunity to lead a technically demanding project from pre-construction through to handover.
Duties:
- Full project lifecycle management of a large-scale healthcare extension from pre-construction through to handover
- Lead and manage site teams including Project Managers, Site Agents, Engineers, and specialist M&E trades
- Commercial ownership — budgets, costs, and value engineering in line with public sector procurement requirements
- Primary liaison with client, design team, HSE project managers, and relevant statutory bodies throughout
- Subcontractor procurement and performance management across all packages
- Programme monitoring with proactive risk identification, with particular awareness of live hospital environment constraints
- Ensure full H&S and environmental compliance, including infection control and HIQA requirements on an operational healthcare campus
Requirements:
- 10+ years’ construction experience, with 3–5 years at Contracts Manager level
- Proven track record delivering complex healthcare, public sector, or similarly regulated projects (€20m+)
- Experience working within live or phased healthcare environments with stringent infection control and operational continuity protocols
- Strong commercial acumen with budget and subcontractor management experience in public sector or Health Capital frameworks
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts (RIAI, FIDIC, or NEC); familiarity with Government of Ireland public works contracts advantageous
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
