A leading Irish engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing Transportation team in Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to work on some of Ireland’s most significant transport infrastructure projects, with exposure to rail, public transport, active travel and major road schemes across Ireland and the UK.
Projects:
- Cork Area Commuter Rail Phase 2 (€200M+)
- BusConnects Cork (€600M+)
- BusConnects Dublin (€3BN+)
- DART+ West (Maynooth Line Upgrade) (€2BN+)
- West Clare Railway Greenway
- Motorway Operations Services (eMOS) Programme
- Renfrew Bridge, Scotland (£100M+)
- Clontarf to City Centre Project
Role:
- Supporting the design and delivery of major transportation infrastructure projects
- Preparing technical reports, option selection reports and design documentation
- Assisting with planning applications and environmental assessments
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and key project stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery from concept design through to construction
- Working within quality management systems and project procedures
- Contributing to rail, road, active travel and public transport projects across Ireland and the UK
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in the design or construction of civil engineering projects
- Experience preparing technical reports and design documentation
- Good knowledge of TII Publications and/or DMRB standards
- Basic understanding of planning application processes
- Experience with AutoCAD and DMURS is advantageous
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status is desirable
