A leading Irish engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing Water & Utilities team in Galway.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in their career while working on high-profile water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative team delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across water networks, wastewater treatment, drainage and utility infrastructure projects, with strong support towards Chartership and long-term career progression.
Projects:
- Water and wastewater infrastructure projects (€5M – €150M+)
- Wastewater treatment plant upgrades and new developments
- Water network design and rehabilitation programmes
- Drainage and stormwater management projects
- Design & Build infrastructure projects
- Public sector projects for Uisce Éireann and local authorities
Role:
- Preparing engineering designs, drawings and technical specifications
- Supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Liaising with clients, Uisce Éireann, TII and local authorities
- Undertaking site visits, inspections and construction support activities
- Preparing engineering reports, feasibility studies and planning submissions
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years’ experience within water, wastewater or utilities projects
- Experience in water network design, drainage or wastewater infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience in Civil 3D, ArcGIS or similar software advantageous
- Strong understanding of Irish engineering standards and regulations
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status is desirable
Salary & Benefits:
- €50,000 – €60,000 DOE + benefits
