BIM Coordinator
A leading Tier 1 Main Building Contractor is looking to bring on an experienced BIM Coordinator for a significant data centre project in North Dublin. The successful candidate will take full ownership of BIM delivery on the project, implementing and maintaining the BIM Execution Plan alongside a dedicated project team. Duties:
- Take full BIM responsibility for the project, implementing and maintaining the BIM Execution Plan
- Enforce BIM Execution Plan compliance across the project team
- Organise and chair BIM coordination and clash detection workshops, tracking progress throughout
- Identify and document clashes using Navisworks Manage
- Establish quality control procedures to ensure model accuracy at each project stage
- Document BIM models and monitor their statuses and shared data relationships
- Define technical requirements, software interoperability and BIM standards for the project
- Coordinate model and data handover at key milestones
- Generate models as required to support design development
- Keep up to date with the evolving BIM landscape and communicate any significant issues to the wider team
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of BIM coordination experience, ideally gained with a Main Contractor
- Third-level qualification in Construction, Structural or Building Services
- Experience on Pharma or Data Centre projects is a distinct advantage
- Proficient in Navisworks Manage and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Revit Architecture
- Solid understanding of BIM procedures and protocols
- Strong communicator who can work effectively across multi-discipline teams
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
