Bridge Engineer with 15+ years’ experience needed to join a highly respected, award-winning international multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices in Cork and Dublin. This role will involve working on large scale projects and comes with excellent career progression opportunities as the successful Bridge Engineer will have the potential to progress to Associate/Technical Director with the support from Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- The successful Bridge Engineer will work in a team within a multidiscipline office and shall work on a robust pipeline of exciting projects
- This Bridge Engineer will be involved in project management of medium and large sized project ensuring quality, timelines and budgets are delivered.
- You will be responsible for driving business development and managing tender bids for professional services contracts.
- As Bridge Engineer you will provide design input and oversee the delivery of structural aspects of projects.
- You will effectively communicate with internal and external parties, including clients and stakeholders.
- You will have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior team members.
Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- The successful Bridge Engineer should have 15+ years experience within an engineering consultancy in Ireland or the UK.
- Chartered Bridge Engineer (CEng, MIStructE or equivalent)
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in client-facing roles with excellent communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in bridge design, inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation.
- Proficient in Eurocodes and structural analysis software (MIDAS Civil or LUSAS).
- Experience in the design and refurbishment of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
- Proven experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
