Senior Resident Engineer – Marine
Location: Dublin City Centre
Senior Resident Engineer with marine civil engineering experience required to join a site-based team on a major marine infrastructure project in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and monitoring of marine and civil construction works, working closely with the Client, Contractor, Engineer and wider multidisciplinary project team. The project involves significant marine and land-based civil works, including marine structures, piling, deep excavations, associated infrastructure and civil works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise marine and civil construction works to ensure they are delivered in accordance with the design, Employer’s Requirements, specifications, contract documentation and relevant permits.
- Monitor construction progress, quality, methodologies and workmanship.
- Monitor contractors’ compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise closely with the Client, Contractor, Engineer, PSDP and PSCS.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical input where required.
Requirements
- Level 8/9 Degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years’ post-graduate experience working as a Resident Engineer for a consultancy
- Previous experience working on marine civil engineering projects is essential.
- Experience with marine structures, piling, deep excavations, marine outfalls or similar heavy civil works would be highly beneficial.
- Experience working with contractors and clients on major construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Full clean driving licence.
