Construction Manager

Construction Manager required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to take the lead on a major, high-profile project. Our client is specifically looking for an exceptional hands-on construction leader, a Site Manager who has come up through the trades and knows how a building goes together better than anyone on the job. This is a standout opportunity for a respected, results-driven professional who commands the site, earns the trust of the trades and delivers. The successful Construction Manager will report to the Project Director.

Role:

• Take full command of day-to-day site delivery, driving the project safely, on programme and to the highest standard of quality.
• Lead, motivate and develop the site management team, setting the standard on site from day one.
• Manage and coordinate all subcontractors and trades, using first-hand trade knowledge to plan, challenge and sequence the works.
• Anticipate problems before they happen, resolving buildability and coordination issues on the ground.
• Own quality, programme and cost performance, escalating risks early and keeping the project on track.
• Build strong relationships with the client, design team and subcontractors, chairing key site meetings.
• Drive a positive Health and Safety culture across the site, with full compliance with CDM and company procedures.

Requirements:

• Trades background (e.g. carpentry, bricklaying, steel fixing or similar) with a proven progression into site management
• Proven track record as a Site Manager or Construction Manager with a main contractor
• Experience delivering large-scale, complex projects
• Outstanding leadership, planning and people skills, with a reputation for getting things done

Salary & Benefits

• Salary €85,000 – €95,000
