Setting Out Engineer – South Dublin
A well-established Tier 2 civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major road infrastructure project in Cherrywood, South Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale civil engineering project with long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate setting out using GPS and Total Station
- Set out roadworks, drainage, utilities, earthworks and associated civil works
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and site plans
- Complete site surveys, measurements and as-built records
- Ensure works are delivered to the required quality and engineering standards
- Liaise with Site Management, subcontractors and engineering teams
- Assist with QA/QC documentation and resolve technical issues on site
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ setting out / site engineering experience in Ireland or the UK
- Strong setting out skills essential
- Proficient in GPS and Total Station
- Previous experience on civil engineering, roadworks, drainage or infrastructure projects
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full driving licence
