My client, a leading developer in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Foreman to join their team on a large-scale apartment development in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Foreman to join an established developer, work on a high-quality residential project and progress their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of health and safety on site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
- Monitor the project programme, report weekly progress and proactively address potential delays.
- Coordinate daily site activities, attend whiteboard meetings and manage the allocation of labour and materials.
- Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring works are completed to the required quality and programme.
- Manage groundworks, civil engineering and construction activities from foundations through to finishes, landscaping and external works.
- Coordinate site logistics, including labour, machinery, materials, vehicle routes and pedestrian walkways.
- Carry out regular quality inspections, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Coordinate subcontractors and service providers to ensure timely handover to the Finishing Foreman.
- Liaise with the engineering team to ensure accurate waste management records and documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Foreman or General Foreperson within the residential construction sector.
- A trade background is preferable.
- Experience working on apartment or large-scale residential developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, site logistics and health and safety procedures.
- Ability to manage subcontractors, coordinate multiple activities and meet demanding programme and quality targets.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and capable of taking responsibility and working independently.
