Project Manager – Civil Engineering (Infrastructure Projects)
A Project Manager is required for a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major public realm and civic infrastructure project in North Dublin/Meath. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing organisation and take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager / Director, the successful candidate will have strong project management experience within civil engineering or construction and will be confident managing project teams, subcontractors, programme, commercial performance, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from planning through to completion
- Manage project programme, resources, costs, quality, and health & safety
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Develop, monitor, and manage construction programmes using Asta Powerproject or equivalent
- Liaise with the client, design team, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Manage project documentation, reporting, progress meetings, and site records
- Monitor project costs, variations, and commercial performance
- Manage contractual obligations and support the administration of GCCC, NEC3/4, RIAI, or equivalent contracts
- Identify and resolve technical, commercial, programme, and construction-related issues
- Ensure all works are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S requirements and company procedures
- Report regularly to the Contracts Manager / Director on project performance, progress, risks, and key issues
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at Level 8 (QQI) or internationally recognised equivalent
- Minimum 8 years’ post-graduate experience in civil engineering or construction
- Proven experience in a Project Manager or senior project management role
- Proven track record of delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects on time and within budget
- Strong working knowledge of Irish construction contracts, including GCCC, NEC3/4, RIAI, or equivalent
- Proficiency in Asta Powerproject or equivalent programme management software
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and consultants
- Strong commercial awareness and project management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Full clean driving licence
- Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary €75,000 – €85,000, depending on experience
- Company vehicle and fuel card
