Excellent opportunity for a Highways Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Dublin, working across a strong pipeline of major road, transport, Active Travel and urban infrastructure projects.
The successful Highways Engineer will join an established Transport Infrastructure team, working across projects from feasibility and preliminary design through to detailed design and construction. This role would suit a Civil Engineer who is looking to further develop their technical design experience while gaining exposure to major transport projects across Ireland.
Projects:
- Major and minor TII road schemes
- Urban road and street design
- Active Travel and Greenway projects
- Public transport infrastructure
- Rural and urban transport improvement schemes
Role:
- Assist in the design and delivery of road and transport infrastructure projects
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports and design documentation
- Support feasibility, preliminary and detailed design stages
- Work across geometric design, drainage, pavement, signage and road markings
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, clients and project stakeholders
- Ensure designs comply with relevant TII standards and technical guidance
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years’ post-graduate experience, ideally within an Irish consultancy
- Experience in roads, highways or transport infrastructure design
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Knowledge of TII Publications and Irish road design standards
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D or similar would be advantageous
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status
Salary & Benefits:
