Senior Quantity Surveyor
A leading Irish Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a landmark €18m educational project in Cork.
Responsibilities:
- Take full commercial responsibility for a major educational construction project.
- Manage subcontractor procurement and negotiate packages.
- Prepare and manage monthly valuations and payment applications.
- Administer variations and change control throughout the project.
- Produce and manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
- Liaise closely with the site and project management teams to ensure commercial success.
- Prepare final accounts and manage the commercial lifecycle from procurement through to project completion.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (Level 8).
- 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK. Quantity Surveyors looking to step up will also be considered.
- Experience managing commercial aspects of construction projects.
- Knowledge of Public Works Contracts is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and CVRs.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel and quantity surveying software such as CostX, Cubit, or Buildsoft.
- Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
