A leading Irish civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to specialise in drainage design while working on major transport and infrastructure projects across Ireland. The successful candidate will join an experienced team and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of high-profile schemes, with excellent opportunities for technical development and career progression.
Projects:
- National road and motorway schemes
- Active travel and sustainable transport projects
- Bus and public transport infrastructure developments
- Water and drainage infrastructure projects
- Public realm and urban regeneration schemes
- Multidisciplinary civil engineering projects throughout Ireland
Role:
- Assisting with the design and delivery of drainage solutions for infrastructure projects
- Preparing drainage layouts, calculations and technical reports
- Undertaking hydraulic and hydrological assessments under the guidance of senior engineers
- Supporting the development of SuDS and sustainable drainage solutions
- Working closely with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Assisting with flood risk assessments and environmental considerations where required
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years’ experience in civil engineering or drainage design
- Experience working on infrastructure, transport or water projects would be advantageous
- Good understanding of drainage design principles and relevant Irish standards
- Experience with drainage design software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or similar would be beneficial
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team
Salary & Benefits:
- €40,000 – €50,000 DOE + benefits
