A leading Cork-based engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Technician to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Technician looking to work on a diverse range of site development projects while further developing their technical expertise within a well-established and growing Irish consultancy in Cork.
Projects:
- Residential developments ranging from 50–500 units
- Commercial and retail developments (€5M – €50M+)
- Hotel and hospitality projects
- Educational developments
- Industrial and manufacturing facilities
- Multidisciplinary civil infrastructure and site development projects
Role:
- Preparing and presenting engineering drawings and design outputs
- Producing detailed civil infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Developing drainage, utility and service drawings for site development projects
- Assisting with stormwater, foul sewer and watermain design layouts
- Supporting earthworks, levels and road design packages
- Working closely with project engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery
- Providing technical support and guidance within the design team
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Civil Technician or Civil CAD Technician
- Strong AutoCAD experience with Revit experience highly desirable
- Experience producing civil engineering site development drawings
- Knowledge of drainage, roads and utility infrastructure design
- Understanding of the Irish planning process and development standards
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
